1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service with Richie's Auto Detailing ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. These terms apply to all clients, whether booking online, over the phone, or in person. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Booking, Cancellations, & Deposits
- Appointments: All services are by appointment only. We will confirm your time slot upon receiving your request.
- Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Late Cancellation / No-Show: Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or failure to be present at the scheduled time, may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the service cost.
- Deposits: For extensive services (such as Ceramic Coatings or Paint Correction), a non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.
3. Mobile Service Requirements
As a mobile service, we require a safe and legal work area to perform our duties.
- Access: We must have access to the vehicle in a driveway, garage, or permitted parking area. We cannot work on busy public streets where safety is compromised.
- Utilities: Unless otherwise arranged, we require access to a working water spigot and electrical outlet within 100 feet of the vehicle.
- Permission: If you are located in an apartment complex or office park, please verify that auto detailing is permitted on the premises before booking.
4. Vehicle Condition & Surcharges
Our estimated prices are based on vehicles in average condition. We reserve the right to amend our price estimate after a visual inspection if the vehicle requires more time/labor than anticipated.
- Excessive Dirt: Additional fees may apply for excessive pet hair, mold, vomit, blood, biological waste, or heavy staining.
- Personal Items: Please remove all personal items (clothing, electronics, car seats, valuables) from the vehicle prior to our arrival. We are not responsible for items left inside the car.
- Glove Box / Consoles: We will not open or clean the inside of glove boxes or center consoles unless they are emptied by the owner beforehand.
5. Liability & Damage
We take the utmost care with your vehicle, but we are not liable for pre-existing damage or issues related to the vehicle’s age/condition.
- Pre-Existing Damage: We are not responsible for damage related to loose trim, oxidized paint, cracked windshields, or faulty mechanics that may be exacerbated by the cleaning process.
- Engine Bays: Engine bay detailing is performed at the owner's risk. We are not liable for mechanical or electrical issues that may arise from cleaning the engine compartment, particularly on older vehicles or those with exposed wiring.
- Battery Discharge: We may need to keep doors open for extended periods. We are not responsible for drained batteries on older or weak systems.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the service. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and select digital payments.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not satisfied with the service, please notify us before we leave the premises so we can correct the issue immediately. Once we have left and payment has been rendered, the service is considered accepted and complete.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
