Winter Prep: Protecting Your Car from Rain & Grime

Winter in California means rain, road oil, and grime. While we don't deal with snow salt, the mixture of oil and water on the roads creates a "traffic film" that is notoriously hard to remove. Here is how to prep.

1. Seal the Paint

If you don't have a ceramic coating, apply a high-quality sealant now. Wax won't last through the rainy season. You need a synthetic sealant that provides a chemical barrier against road oils.

2. Glass Coating is a Safety Feature

When it rains, visibility is key. We offer a windshield glass coating that makes water bead up and fly off at speeds over 30mph. You often won't even need your wipers. It prevents that annoying "wiper smear" glare at night.

3. Check Your Interior Mats

Switch to all-weather rubber floor mats. Wet shoes bring mud into your carpets, and if that moisture sits in the fabric, it leads to mold and that stale "wet dog" smell inside the cabin.
