Mold is a health hazard and a sign of a moisture problem—usually a water leak in the door seals, sunroof, or cabin ventilation. Mold & Mildew Removal is a comprehensive remediation service that identifies the moisture source, kills the mold spores using enzymatic cleaners and steam, and runs an ozone treatment to neutralize spores in the air ducts and headliner. We wear full PPE (personal protective equipment) throughout, treating mold as the biohazard it is.

The process begins with a thorough inspection to locate the moisture source. Is water leaking in around the door seams? Is the sunroof seal failing? Is the ventilation system blocked, trapping condensation? If we can identify the leak, we'll inform you so it can be repaired before mold returns. Without fixing the source, mold remediation is temporary.

Once the leak is identified, we remove any affected carpets or trim and dispose of heavily contaminated materials. We apply an enzymatic mold killer to kill the fungal spores. These enzymes break down the mold structure at a cellular level. We then steam clean affected areas—headliner, seats, carpets—using high-temperature steam that further kills spores and dries the materials. We dry everything thoroughly with commercial dehumidifiers and air movers.

The final step is an ozone treatment (see Ozone Odor Removal) that neutralizes any airborne spores, mold fragments, and odors throughout the cabin. This ensures the spores in air ducts, vents, and recesses are addressed. After treatment, the vehicle should be aired out extensively by driving with windows down and HVAC running on fresh air.
