Paint Enhancement is our entry point into machine polishing. Using a rotary or dual-action polisher with a finishing pad and fine-cut polish, we remove approximately 50-60% of light swirl marks, water spots, and haze. The process is fast (3-4 hours), affordable, and delivers a stunning visual transformation—perfect for newer vehicles or budget-conscious customers who want maximum gloss without the deeper defect removal of Paint Correction.

Light swirl marks and haze build up on every vehicle over time. They're caused by improper washing, automatic car washes, and UV exposure. They sit in the clear coat and scatter light, making your paint look dull or milky rather than deep and reflective. During enhancement, we carefully apply machine-polishing pressure to remove a thin micro-layer of clear coat, which physically eliminates these surface defects. The polish fills in any remaining micro-scratches with abrasive particles that buff away and smooth the surface.

We start by claying the paint to remove contaminants, then tape off trim and plastic areas. The polisher is worked across the panel in overlapping passes, always moving and never lingering in one spot (which would burn through the clear coat). We work one panel at a time, frequently checking our progress. The polishing throws off a lot of compound dust, so we wipe down frequently to assess the removal rate.

The results are immediate and dramatic. Once-dull metallic paint suddenly pops with depth, and glossy paint becomes mirror-like. Water beads more effectively, and the paint feels incredibly smooth to the touch. The enhanced finish also prepares the paint perfectly for ceramic coating application, which is why Enhancement is bundled into our Gloss & Protect package.

Enhancement is ideal for vehicles with 2-5 years of light swirling but no deep scratches. If your paint has heavier defects—hard scratches, chips, etching—you need Paint Correction instead. But for most customers seeking a major gloss boost at a reasonable price point, Enhancement is the sweet spot.
